The Bedell Encore BSMCE-18 Orchestra Cutaway electro-acoustic guitar is a handcrafted acoustic guitar that can handle any performance situation, including the stage.
The BSMCE-18 features a solid Sitka spruce top, one of the most popular woods for guitar tops today. Sitka spruce produces an even, clear response from low to high tones. By using solid woods, the tone of this guitar will improve with age as the woods mature.
The Bedell BSMCE-18 features mahogany for the back and sides. This works well for an orchestra model guitar with a Sitka top to generate a strong bass with thick mid and treble tones.
Upgraded Fishman Presys electronics add powerful acoustic sound to stage performances. The preamp has a 3-band EQ plus a brilliance control for getting just the right tone. A notch filter and phase switch are available to help fight feedback, while the onboard tuner is ready to check your tuning any time, plugged in or not.

WHY ARE THERE TWO PRICES?The prices reflect the level of service we can offer depending on how you buy from us:
When you buy onlineIf you click-and-buy a guitar from our website, we will offer what every other mail-order company does – boxed warehouse stock sent by courier which has passed the manufacturer’s quality control and is covered under their warranty. You can find out more about warranties and returns on the Delivery page.
When you buy in-storeBeing made from natural materials, every guitar is different. Nothing beats trying a range of models, including the exact guitar you intend to purchase so you know its right for
you.
Before we sell a guitar, we carry out a 16 point inspection, making skilled observations and adjustments to ensure it sounds its best, plays easily and is finished to a high standard. This often picks up on things that the factory’s quality control missed and we return up to 20% of our shop stock because it fails to meet our standards.
To ensure you get the most out of your new guitar and to keep it in top condition, we also include our FREE accessories and service package worth over £185. This includes important extras such as a carry case, digital tuner, spare strings, strap and plectrums so you’re ‘ready to play’, as well as a FREE quarterly service, where we inspect and adjust your guitar and offer free labour if you want a restring. After 12 months we offer a full service with free strings, and the opportunity to extend your service plan at a reduced rate.
Add to this the other facilities we offer, including finance options, part exchanges and a loan instrument if yours is in for repair, buying in-store definitely gives the best value for money.
