Product Description

The Mistral 4412 clarinet is a great value clarinet for beginners.

Ideal for the early stages of learning, the Mistral clarinet has a composite body that is resistant to changes in temperature and humidity, without sacrificing sound quality and playability.

The silver plated keys are an improvement on the cheapest beginner instruments, making the Mistral 4412 the lowest model in price and quality that we are comfortable recommending. Any lower than this and we find the build quality and materials are not up to the standard required for rigourous playing, and our engineers advise us they are uneconomical to repair.

Supplied in a hard case, this is an ideal instrument for beginners at the early stages of learning to play clarinet.

  • Bb clarinet
  • Composite body
  • Silver plated keys
  • Supplied with a mouthpiece and hard case
  • Student model for beginners

WHY ARE THERE TWO PRICES?
The prices reflect the level of service we can offer depending on how you buy from us:

When you buy online
If you click-and-buy a string instrument from our website, we will offer what every other mail-order company does – boxed warehouse stock sent by courier which has passed the manufacturer’s quality control and is covered under their warranty.

When you buy in-store
The combination of natural materials and tiny variations within and between brands means every wind instrument is unique. Nothing beats trying a range of models, as well as the exact instrument you intend to purchase, until you find one that ‘works with you’.
A wind instrument is a real piece of engineering; a complex key system fixed to a body made of natural materials means they are sensitive to changes in temperature, heavy handedness and bumps. Before we hand over your new instrument, we carefully unpack it – in an attempt to protect the instrument during shipping (often from Asia), the keys are ‘packed’ with cork wedges. We have seen inexperienced people attempt this fiddly job before and bend the keys before they’ve even played their brand new instrument!
We inspect all our shop stock before it is sold to ensure you receive an instrument that meets our high standards, and we often pick up on faults that the factory’s quality control missed.
We also spend time teaching you how to handle and care for your instrument to avoid unnecessary repairs, so you are comfortable and confident and can get the most enjoyment out of it.
Add to this the other facilities we offer, including rental and finance options, part exchanges and a loan instrument if yours is in for repair, buying in-store definitely gives the best value for money.
