WHY ARE THERE TWO PRICES?
The prices reflect the level of service we can offer depending on how you buy from us:
When you buy online
If you click-and-buy a string instrument from our website, we will offer what every other mail-order company does – boxed warehouse stock sent by courier which has passed the manufacturer’s quality control and is covered under their warranty.
When you buy in-store
Being made from natural materials, every string instrument is different. Nothing beats trying a range of models, including the exact instrument you intend to purchase, so you know its right for you.
Most string instruments arrive without the bridge fitted. It is not just a case of ‘putting’ this under the strings – it needs to be placed and adjusted with precision to ensure the instrument plays every note in tune and that strings are low enough so it’s easy to play, without being too low and buzzing.
Then there’s the actual size of the instrument; they are available in scaled sizes for children and we can test which size would be best so your child is comfortable and so you don’t need to buy another new instrument because it’s just too big, or when they outgrow it next month!
We also spend time teaching you how to tune and care for your instrument to avoid unnecessary repairs, so you are comfortable and confident and can get the most enjoyment out of it.
Add to this the other facilities we offer, including finance options, part exchanges and a loan instrument if yours is in for repair, buying in-store definitely gives the best value for money.
